This van has been here and not moved at all since at last Easter (2019). I checked around June 2019 and it still had a valid MOT - to Oct or Nov 2019 I think. For first few weeks a chap was rubbing it down and painting but no activity for best part of a year now. I live opposite and see it every day. Eye sore and potential danger / hazard

Not collected. The vehicle has sharp edges and is just waiting for kids to hurt themselves.

There can be no "apparently" about this now. To my knowledge this van has not moved from current position since At Least Easter 2019- over 15 months now and in dangerous condition as reported earlier. Local told me today that they thought man who parked it here to do up moved away some time ago. This is a real hazard to children's safety and that of road users as well as being an eye sore for all locals. This now needs some priority attention as will never be resolved otherwise and could cause injury if left unattended.

To all concerned locals.
Re: Abandoned Food Van. I received this email from a Waste Team member today:
"Thank you for your email. This vehicle has now been reported and is currently under investigation. Please be aware our investigations may take some time as we may have to serve notices to land owners and vehicle keepers. If, as a result of our investigation, we conclude the vehicle has not been abandoned we will not remove it but may refer it onto the DVLA or police. Kind regards..." It's been some time now since an OCC vehicle parked behind this van and a chap spent a fair bit of time looking around it and taking some pictures. This wreck, which is what it is, has been here for the best part of 18 months, has very sharp edges, causes problems for drivers and is a potential danger to children. Any update on removal before it falls apart or causes injury please.

Come-on Vale of White Horse District Council. How long does it take to investigate whether this vehicle has been abandoned? The Burger-van was dumped here over the Easter Bank Holiday in 2019. It is not Taxed. It has no MOT. It comes back as not insured. It has never moved. It has not been visited. No one in the area owns it. You have a Legal obligation to keep the streets clean. Clear this scrap truck please.

Good News: Formal documents from Vale of White Horse are now attached to the rear door of the van. I assume this is to give notice of removal. Maybe it won't see it's second Christmas here after all. Thank you VoWH.
