Unsafe trees

Reported via Android in the Trees category anonymously at 20:32, Wed 27 May 2020

Sent to Leicester City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2131796.

Recently we have seen some very high winds and this has resulted in large aged trees becoming very unsteady & at risk of coming down.

Would the council please visit and remove the risk or dead or rotten trees from causing potential damage. I'm aware of a conveyance that may have been left by the winstanley estate regarding the preservation of this Spinney which runs alongside Cressida Place and Braunstone Lane, However there is a potential risk to property and/life should these trees fall.

These is also a risk to damage to a drainage pipe which runs under these trees and when we have heavy rain causes drains to flood.

Surely prevention is better than cure, some years ago LCC used to come and clear the area of overgrowth & thin the hedge row out to prevent such risks occurring.
