Lighting at night

Sent to Manchester City Council 4 minutes later

I walk my dog in this park and I also jog here. I am surprised that with the onset of winter, the nights getting dark earlier the lights are not being switched on. They look like they're solar powered so why not? It's pitch black and unsafe to be there any time after darkness falls. Why are the lights not coming on in the park?

  • The park manager replied quickly to my complaint, but so far it's not been solved. They say a 'friends of the park'group set up the lights originally, and they are trying to trace members of the group to discuss the maintenance of the lights. In the mean time we are still, quite literally, in the dark
