Bedding from deep litter cattle housing at Rickstead Farm, East Norton, is being use as fertiliser on maize crops which are then fed back to the cattle. This manure has a large quantity of plastic and hardboard waste in its make up, my guess is that industrial waste is used as bedding. The chemicals from this waste will pollute the fields The environment.
