Thorny Bushes

Reported by Mrs Gregory at 07:38, Sat 16 May 2020

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Bits regularly fall off the bushes and end up all over the paths, they have very strong, inch-long thorns which have caused countless punctures to my son's football's and my children's bicycle tyres, costing me a fortune! I started reporting this 2 years ago when my puppy kept getting thorns in his paws causing him much distress. The bushes also gather rubbish and I have seen rodents running around within. Can we please remove them in the same way as they have been removed from other areas in the neighborhood?

  • These bushes still haven't been touched and are so overgrown and full of rubbish they look a mess. Who cares, it's only St. Nicks!

  • The bushes had a major trim last week, for the amount that had to be cut away and removed they may as well of got rid completely and saved themselves a lot of work in the future. The next day my dog got yet another thorn in his paw where so many bits were left on the grass and pavement that it was impossible to avoid 😡

  • The thorns have now found their way into my garden, which was discovered by my dog when he got another one in his paw! He should be safe in our garden!

  • Still seeing thorny bits in the pathways. The bushes were removed from 2 other areas in my neighborhood, one was even concreted over, so why can't these ones be removed too?
