Dear BHCC
I find myself having to write to you again in regards to the debris in the cattle tunnel and pathways approaching the tunnel on either side - Vale Road and Victoria Road Trading Estate, are laden with debris please could you arrange for your team to clear/clean the debris.
I appreciate and fully understand your up against it due to C-19. However the cattle tunnel and pathways approaching the tunnel on either side - Vale Road and Victoria Road Trading Estate, Portslade have for a long time been left untouched by your team, and debris just builds up until someone complains. It used to be cleaned regularly, however over time the service has slipped and this section does not get get cleaned.
Please note: The street cleaner who works this route for this area, I saw him in Norway Street recently and approached him in a polite, friendly manor and asked if he would visit the cattle tunnel and pathways approaching the tunnel on either side to clear the debris. He responded stating that he he might do it tomorrow, was his words. I responded stating that the older guy who used to work that route used to always visit the tunnel and pathways either side and clear the debris on a regular basis, he responded just shrugging his shoulders, and then returned to playing with his mobile phone, as he was doing when I first approached him.
I give up what do we have to do in order for BHCC to clean this area on a regular basis, it is disgusting in the tunnel and either side. Wine/beer bottles, crisp packets, paper, dogs poo and used syringes are just a snippet of whats thrown down and left there for people to navigate their way through, parents with children walk through here everyday.
Please could you arrange to have the tunnel and approaching pathways cleaned on a regular basis.
