Contradicting road markings

Reported via iOS in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 08:11, Tue 28 April 2020

Sent to Kent County Council 9 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2099114.

The traffic sign on the left is good and sensible (3 lanes for 3 directions). The road markings contradict it showing both lanes 2 & 3 for straight ahead towards Herne Bay. The problem is as you come off the roundabout towards Herne Bay it is only duel carriageway for one and a half car lengths! This explains why there are so many near misses here and car horns beeping when locals use the correct lane and strangers follow the road markings and use lane three and suddenly run out of road. It has been like this since September 2016 and was complained about in the local paper and social media at the time but still remains unsafe. I wouldn’t have thought it’s a big expensive job to fix the road markings and suggest this situation is reviewed soon.
