New 30MPH limit on A4

Reported anonymously at 09:01, Wed 4 April 2007

Sent to Kennet District Council and Wiltshire Council 29 minutes later

Cars going well in excess of the new speed limit are common in both directions; in the worst cases, drivers are deliberately accelerating up the hill and travelling at up to 60MPH (as before). Can this please receive some police attention? Thanks.

  • I guess it's another place that needs a bypass, or a through route not blighted by traffic lights or other measures to annoy drivers that are late for appointments, due to previous enviroments where "time stands still" for no aparent reason.
    (Tesco lorries included!)

What times are they speeding though there BTW? I've never managed above 15MpH during the day?

Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much, the motor car as we know it is finished. It's not long now that only the super rich will be drivers of cars/hippy busses/single child transporters (the bigger the better) and company vehicals.

    Thank god I've got one!
