Fire hazard: large cage overflowing with cardboard etc.
Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 15:31, Thu 16 April 2020
Sent to Cherwell District Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2089464.
There is a large amount of cardboard and other flammable material piled up here. The large wooden 'cage' on the left has been there for many months. I'm concerned that this is a fire hazard.

This was reported to Cherwell DC, who replied "The wooden cage is not Cherwell District Council property so ... this is the responsibility of which business this belongs to.".
I then contacted the Oxfordshire Fire Service. The Station Commander of Kidlington, Bicester & Eynsham Fire Station immediately visited the premises to assess the situation and provided fire safety advice to the store manager. This was on 17 April, but I see that the cage stacked with cardboard is still there - with additional wooden pallets leaning against it.

A couple of weeks ago the 'cage' was nearly emptied but since then the flammable waste material has steadily built up again. The problem remains.

The cage has disappeared! Still a fair amount of litter in the area but much improved.
