Road keeps flooding surface water pooling

Bottom of standford hill LYMINGTON there is always a huge puddle. When the photos were taken we havent had any rain for couple weeks. If there is a storm drain there, then it is blocked. If there is NO drain, then one needs to be put in. When it rains the surface water is huge. I got wet on a DRY DAY as vehicles keep driving through the puddle & I was walking on the FOOTPATH! Dont believe me, look at the ground & look at the Pennington sign, they are WET where traffic sprays the path & sign as surface water cant drain anywhere! Have reported this last year & NOTHING was done! if a vehicle skids or loses control thanks to lack of action by the council, then I will alert the vehicle owner that council knew there was a highway defect with drainage

  • Cycling on the footpath/cycleway yesterday I was showered by a passing truck at the bottom of Stamford Hill as it inevitably hit this semi-permanent huge puddle where there should be a functioning drain. There is a stream a few feet away, so why is the drain not maintained?

  • Still not fixed, it is just a drain that needs regularly clearing out & obviously too difficult for council to do their job
