Trinity Road RED light traffic signal calling up on the main line when it is not necessary.

Location: Trinity Road near A5/M42 Junction 10 My wife is constantly complaining to me that she consistently has to stop at a red light at these new traffic signals when there is no traffic on the other arms causing delays and frustration. The other day she observed another vehicle ignore the red light. These signals are effectively signalising private accesses and private businesses. Seems somewhat unethical to me. I assume that there is a yearly commuted lump sum paid to your Council for the maintenance of these signals in perpetuity and that public money is not be utilised to facilitate and provide access/egress to a private company business?
