Dog foul

Reported in the Dog fouling category by Valerie Cooper at 13:30, Wed 19 October 2011 ; (there is no pin shown as the user did not use the map)

Sent to Aberdeenshire Council 4 minutes later

A foot path between Cookston Road and Craigleith Avenue is used by walkers and dog walkers alike. Some irresponsible people are allowing their dogs to foul the footpath whilst others are chucking dog foul bags over the small wall towards the burn. These bags are visible and unsightly and also the dog foul on the path is a danger to children. So far I have tried to clean the path but would much prefer for the offenders to abide by the law. Perhaps a sign nearby, could remind them of the dog foul act of 2003 short of cctv.I have to live in sight of this daily blight.

Updates

  • Had a similar problem at previous house, watched and waited until I could identify culprit, notified Dog warden and the culprit was fined. Incredibly it was one person who had been dumping bags of dog poo for months, why pick it up and then dump it! Might be worthwhile emailing all three builders SM/Bett/Charles Church let them put pressure on the council.I know that SM has given money to the council for dog bins. If you can take photographs of even one person then do it. It can only get worse as houses are occupied. Look in on the kicasportlethen board, the problem of dog poo dumpers is regularly discussed.

  • The grass verges between the Bett homes and Eskywell are a disgrace. No attempt to pick it up whatsoever, disgusting irresponsible sods.
