Hi -- the Neighbourhood Watch sign has been removed from the lamp post by the bus stop on Stone Park Avenue.
Reported in the Street Lighting and Road Signs category anonymously at 12:33, Wed 18 March 2020 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2066756.
The Neighbourhood Watch sign on the lamp post at the bus stop on Stone Park Avenue/Village Way has been here since early last year but was removed when a new trash bin was installed to replace the old one. I coordinate the Neighbourhood Watch for our section of Stone Park Avenue.

On 19 Jan there was a request on Fix My Street from a local resident requesting the SN sign be removed.

Thanks for the response, but I am appalled that the council would take action on such a request without investigating further. Who is this person and what authority do they have to make such a request? Neighbourhood Watch is sanctioned by the police, I will be getting another one to replace the one that was removed.
By the way, what does SN stand for?

The response yesterday was not from the council, in case that was what you were thinking. I am just someone who lives in Beckenham and occasionally looks at Fix My Street and thought you might like to know how the sign came to be removed. I just remembered the request to remove the sign because I thought it was a bit odd. Apologies for referring to it as SN. Mistake by me as I was thinking of Safer Neighbourhoods, a term the police use. Good luck in getting the sign reinstated.

Okay, I will wait for a response from Bromley Council. Thanks for noting the original request to remove. Contrary to this resident’s statement, the signs do indeed discourage burglaries, which is why the police encourage their posting.
