Ruined Grass Area

Reported in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 12:21, Tue 4 October 2011

Sent to North Kesteven District Council 4 minutes later

A well kept green grassed area has been used for a number of weeks as a storage area for path repairs. Thi was previously a nice green area of grass. Will the site be cleaned by the now moved on contractors who have left a real mess behind? The opposite corner has had a path removed but no sign of turf or grass replacement. Junction Dore Avenue and Newark Road.

  • This grassed area has just been left with a few tons of top soil dumped over it. The short cut between the large trees is still being used but is no longer paved. This area will become a muddy mess. I live at the end of Dore Avenue and I was refused planning permission by the local Council for a simple extension to the side of my house. They decided that the nice open plan entrance to the estate from the Newark Road would be adversely affected. Not so nice now, is it?! Seems to me that the Council can do whatever they like, and the people they are supposed to serve do as they say. Outragous!!!!!

  • The email was acknowledged so the Council is at least aware of the problem, but any clean up has yet to start. The other comment regarding this is the opposite corner and looks like a muddy mess as the path way through the trees was taken away. Surely the contractors were not paid to make the area look bad.
