Lake Pembury

Reported via iOS in the Roads/highways category by David Easey at 16:03, Wed 11 March 2020

Sent to West Sussex County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2055859.

After any significant rainfall the road on the western side of Pembury Road at its junction with Northcourt Road floods, as shown in the picture. This has been going on for several years now and is caused by the drains being blocked, largely by fallen leaves from the 3 nearby trees. The drains need to be unblocked and the roads swept more often and more thoroughly.

Updates

  • Can’t tell whether the drains have been cleared as it hasn’t rained recently and I haven’t seen anyone working. However, the root cause, cleaning the street, has not been done.
