Van and caravan parked in Styles Close car park

Reported in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 17:10, Tuesday 10 March 2020

Sent to Warwick District Council 4 minutes later

These vehicles have been parked in Styles Close car park for many months without being moved. Therefore they must be abandoned. I have reported them on here before and to Car Clear but nobody has done anything. Someone appears to be living in the caravan.

  • Hi - I'm a member of the public & just noticed this report. Following may be helpful.....but....a)Transit has tax and insurance till October looking at DVLA website which would make difficult to remove (unless falling apart) if on the public highway b) this does not seem to be on the public highway so I 'assume' you will need to approach the Landlord.

  • I have just read about these vehicles

I don't think it matters if the vehicles have relevant paperwork. It's the amount of time they have been there without being moved that is of concern.

The car park is a public car park so I'm not sure a landlord exists?

We have also observed a man entering and exiting the caravan quite a few times so his safety is compromised if someone decided to set alight to it or vandalise it

  • Greetings I don't live in Warwickshire but live in London. I have 'encouraged' my local council to deal with abandoned cars/vans and yes even caravans over the years. I have viewed this location on Google Streetview and it seem to be a residential area with this parking area communal for the the residents adjoining etc. Someone will own this - Council, housing association, private landlord etc. It seems you are unsure of the owner is so I would raise this with your local councillors -the person living in the caravan would seem to be squatting so I assume there is something that can be done re this angle.

  • As usual with most of these things, nothing has been done. So I wonder... what's the point?
