'New' hedging blocking vision.

Reported in the Other (non-highways) category anonymously at 15:03, Fri 6 March 2020

Sent to Fareham Borough Council and Hampshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2044776.

The 'new' hedging was quite low, when first planted, now it's tall and obstructs drivers vison and drivers travelling North on Hill Park Road turning into Thames Drive are unsighted to/for traffic coming from the Greendale/Kingston Gardens etc, this has led to several very near misses for cyclists, motorcyclists and drivers, bus drivers are very prone to starting to turn when level with Winnington and cutting the corner into Thames Drive. There WAS a corner blindspot mirror but that went when the tree it was attached to was felled.

  • Yet another near miss with a van travelling North turning across unsighted into Thames Drive from Hill Park Road, not helped by the multiple vehicles parked on the pavement/road outside of No.81. IF the hedge can't be trimmed can we have a large blind spot mirror put up to enable sight-lines?

  • This morning 'entertainment' was a Fiat 500 who's driver went from Hill Park rd into Thames Drive completely blindly cutting the corner off from the junction of Winnington, thankfully I was walking today not riding my bike...

  • Not getting any better, and with the multiple cars from No.81 pavement parking limiting space, forcing drivers out into unseen oncoming traffic and further blocking the child pedestrians view this corner is getting very dangerous.

  • This high hedge combined with pavement/corner parking and corner cutting drivers is beyond dangerous now.

  • Hedging now over 6 feet tall, (isn't the limit supposed to be 3 feet in front of houses?) and bushing out past the pavement line, and has totally compromised the sight-lines.
