Inadequate drainage/flooding

Reported via iOS anonymously at 10:44, Thu 5 March 2020

Sent to Crawley Borough Council and West Sussex County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2041730.

Corner of Byron Close/St Mary’s Drive. I’ve previously reported this and been advised that the drain is operating slowly but within its capacity limit. If that’s the case then the capacity is clearly inadequate. These pictures are from this morning, with heavy rain forecast for the rest of the day. The standing water already extends to the middle of the road and along most of the straight section of the road. It also spreads over sections of pavement. It will get worse through the day. This is a very regularly occurring problem whenever there is any rain (not just the recent extreme storms).
