Ongoing drainage problem on the footpath between Chells Way and Fairlands.

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by Ronald Seymour at 13:36, Monday 2 March 2020

Sent to Hertfordshire County Council 7 minutes later

The footpath is prone to flooding and has been so for some time. If you walk through the water it can be slippery due to the fact it is always there in this weather. If you avoid it then you have to go onto the wet and muddy grass. Both of these are a slip hazard especially when you consider that this is the main route to the doctor's surgery. There is some sort of drainage sump on the corner, buried under the grass so perhaps the problem area could be drained into it.

Updates

  • Highways said that it isn't a problem. It is when it rains a lot and it stays flooded. Never mind, if someone slips over here in the future they will be liable and can be sued.
