Footpath obstructed

Reported via Android in the Pavements/footpaths category by Leigh Trinder at 10:32, Sun 1 March 2020

Sent to West Sussex County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2031765.

The footpath is obstructed by a giant mudhole. The hard gravel surface has eroded, broken up and dissappeared over successive seasons below a thick mud layer. It is very deep and impassable to all but the physically able. The escape route of the grassed zone is also deep mud. The path requires a serious improvement of the drainage and full reinstatement of the gravel path suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. Also wheelchair traffic and those with sticks would be able to use it.

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • The dry weather has opened the path, but wet weather will reverse the situation due to poor drainage. The problem still needs a long term fix.
