Edge of carriageway crumbling badly, making the usable section of road very narrow. Cars do not see this until they are on it, resulting in swerves and near misses with other vehicles, horses and pedestrians. The surface here is in appalling condition and seems likely to cause vehicular damage or loss of traction.
