The tree on the footpath between 58 & 60 Grange rd needs to be trimmed as per the others done in the street. This is the tweet that sheds thousands of crab apples that cover the footpath and road every September. We had 6 brown bin fulls last year. If the tree was trimmed this problem would be easily sorted. It shouldn’t be left to the residents to clean the road and footpath to stop pedestrians from slipping. Tree surgeons have been in the street but not trimmed this tree.

The tree sheds thousands of crab apples every September which creates a health and safety issue as the footpath becomes slippy and the road looks a complete mess. We had 6 brown bin fulls last year. It shouldn’t be left to the residents to clean up the footpaths. Tree surgeons have been in the street but not touched this tree. If if was trimmed then it would resolve the crab apple problem.
Thank you for your enquiry. This issue has been passed onto the relevant team for investigation.

Thank you for your report. The tree has been inspected and no works are necessary at this time. Pruning would not address the issue of fruit fall. I would advise that you contact the Council during next Autumn to arrange street cleansing, should the problem persist.
State changed to: No further action
