Large pothole developing on drive where tree was removed outside 30 Farmfield Road
Reported in the Pavements category anonymously at 12:22, Monday 24 February 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 2018188.
A large tree was removed by the council a few years ago outside my house (30 Farmfield Road) due to subsidence problems it was causing. The tree stump was then removed some months later leaving a hole that was simply filled with some chippings by the tree surgeon. The tree had encroached onto my drive by approximately 8 inches and over time the hole that was left has got deeper, due to traffic using my drive, to the point it is now hazardous to vehicles and potentially pedestrians, in low light conditions. Some work was done last year by the council to repair holes and cracks to the pavements and drives in Farmfield Road, including my neighbour's drive, but to my surprise, this hole was overlooked.
