Verge and tree movement
Reported in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 17:54, Wed 19 February 2020 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2009226.
The verge and trees to the West of School Hill are in a poor state and are at risk. Following the inclement weather and high rainfall The soil in the verge which has a considerable rise has moved resulting in two small trees being uprooted. The soil movement has also caused my retaining garden wall made of sleepers to shift as well putting my garden at risk of movement . The relative lack of soil has lead to two trees having died, presumably due to relative lack of water. I consider the area at considerable risk of further movement which may cause further damage to my property.

Thank you for your enquiry. Thank you also for helping to identify the trees in question. Three trees in heavy decline have been identified. These trees will be felled as part of our programmed works. In relation to issues associated with the movement in the soil in the verge space, this is a matter outside of my specialism. I would advise that another enquiry is created with mention to Highway Infrastructure, which should allow for the enquiry to be passed on to officers with the relevant specialism. Thank you for highlighting the trees.
