Collapsed drain / pothole again

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 08:41, Monday 17 February 2020

Sent to Hampshire County Council 4 minutes later

The recently repaired drain on the inside corner of the turn on the roundabout as you go from Hook road to Dunleys Hill, has collapsed again. Obviously it wasnt done properly in the first place as its only lasted a matter of months. I expect you'll spray a white box around it and leave it 9 months like you did last time.

  • Still not fixed. The hole is even deeper. Its only a matter of time before damage is done to a vehicle. Cyclist & Motorcyclists have to swerve to avoid it. Its dangerous and has been for a while.

  • This is a very dangerous condition with exposed ironworks.

  • After I added the photo, the council sprung into life. I drove past and saw 2 council workers staring at the pothole with hands on hips. Later they left a bollard on it and disappeared. Then along came the water company that actually did a half decent job of sorting it. Lesson learned from this: If you can add a picture backing up your report they may well take it more seriously.
