There is constantly rubbish in this area from small loose wrappers to bin bags left on the floor that are torn open by foxes and rodents.

You can also clearly see in the photos provided the name and address of a business, from the street front, fly tipping comercial waste.

Can the road cleaners attend this back area to keep it litter free? Can bins be provided in the council run car park?

  • The unmade service road to the rear of the shops is not Council owned therefore will not form part of any cleansing maintenance contract.

Investigations into discarded commercial waste through a registered trade waste carrier is part of an ongoing review of waste containment here. These issues will be pursued further once the COVID-19 lockdown has been lifted and the Council's front line staff are able to return to their usual duties.
