Absence of cycle parking.

Reported anonymously at 12:30, Mon 3 February 2020

Sent to Wandsworth Borough Council 10 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1976117.

There is no space for son-street cycle parking that is safe for pedestrians. As Wandsworth Council has passed the motion to declare a climate emergency in the borough, this absence of provision is counter to its stated objectives. A cycle hanger that could accommodate ten bicycles would occupy the parking space of only one car. We would be willing to sell/recycle our car (registered for residents parking for many years: AF08YKR) in support of Wandsworth Council committing to place a cycle hanger in Longfield street. Please contact us regarding this.

  • Use a sign post or railing?

  • Thank you for railing/signpost suggestion. Unfortunately this option will either create an obstruction hazard on the pavement and/or prevent car doors being able to open without obstruction/damage.
