Rays Road - Litter and rubbish from recycling bins strewn the length of road

Reported in the Street Cleansing category anonymously at 20:18, Sunday 2 February 2020 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council 1 minute later

Once again, Rays Road is filthy. The whole length (pavement, gutters, in and around undergrowth on northern edge) is caked with litter and rubbish from LBB recycling bins. Please can you arrange a thorough clean of this short stretch of road. Thanks.

  • Hi. I’m afraid not all the litter and rubbish has been removed. The vegetation, grass areas, bushes etc along the complete length of the road, either side and behind of the bins also need a thorough litter-pick. The photos show the locations - please complete job properly. Thanks.

  • The Neighbourhood Officer has arranged to visit the location with Veolia to ensure that they clear all litter from around the Bromley Council recycling facilities.

  • Hello. Is Rays Road going to be swept and litter-picked please? Thanks.

  • Arrangements are being made to change one of the three paper recycling banks to mixed recycling. The extra paper was provided for the Christmas period. The domestic household litter from the recycling banks should then reduce.

The area immediately around our recycling banks will be cleansed when they are repositioned but Rays Road as a whole is not part of the Council's street cleansing schedule.
