2 foot pothole next to white line outside The Old Forge

Reported in the Pothole category by Peter Cook at 13:12, Sunday 2 February 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later. Council ref: 1974250.

This pothole is part of infill from previous repair and has been getting larger for a month or more. As you can see from the photographs it is not easily avoidable by vehicles. Because it is outside my property the action of vehicles driving across it causes both noise and vibration. The vibration is the cause of considerable concern as it makes the cottage shake inside. Our cottage, The Lesters, is a grade ll listed building and of historical importance. The consequence of structure borne vibration would be serious. Immediate attention is required and replacing the rest of the infill would prevent an inevitable recurence.

  • Unfortunately I hit this pot hole recently which has caused damage to my car. My offside front coil spring has just been replaced. I will be seeking compensation.
