Water flooding from drain near top of Frost Lane

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 20:50, Fri 31 January 2020

Sent to Hampshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1972292.

Water floods from the drain on the South side of Frost Lane about 5-10 metres from the junction with Fawley Road (not the drain nearest to the junction).

Despite being reported previously, water is still overflowing out of the roadside drain and flooding down the southern edge of Frost Lane towards the junction with Roseberry Avenue where the road has been repeated flooded in recent years.

Following earlier reports, there has apparently been some remedial work where the road has been flooding, but the problem of flooding from the drain further up the road remains.

There has been an ongoing problem of flooding on Frost Lane in recent years, which I have reported on several occasions. Despite various bits of work being done, I am not convinced that the fundamental problem has yet been solved.

Again I have to ask, please address the root cause of this long-term problem and solve it properly.

Thank you.
