People parking on double yellow lines and obstructing the public footpath by half on and half off.

Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 14:09, Thursday 23 January 2020

Sent to Solihull Borough Council 1 minute later

There is a child nursery on the corner of Tamworth Lane and Shakespear Drive. At peak time (morning and evening) there is a steady stream of parents dropping off and collecting their children. I regularly walk my dog around this corner that is clearly painted with double yellow lines and no visible signs that state any acceptations. The main problem is the cars are parked half on and half off the pavement obstructing pedestrian access to the pathway. I have politely asked for the drivers to give regard to pedestrians wishing to use the pavement and have been abused. I have also asked the nursery to inform the parents that they are illegally parked and obstructing pedestrian access to the pathway.

  • I’ve raised this again with the Council. There were existing issues on Falstaff. I’ve asked for enforcement to be involved.

  • There are even more than ever now. The no parking clearly states at any time for the double yellow lines and is completely being ignored.
