Street Light 7 arch on which light has been mounted has been struck by vehicle. Arch has to be removed electrical contractors attempted to disconect light on arch so arch could be removed however main fuse carrier is noted to be smashed and fuse has caused damage due to arcing. This now means all floodlighting to front of church that is supplied via un-metered from this supply is also all off leaving front of church and pedestrian footpath un-lit. Can fuse carrier please be replaced allowing lighting to operate once again. I will advise when arch is replaced to front so the LP light on top can be reconecyted as well.

The Arch that LP is fitted to has been struck by a vehicle and has to be removed for H&S reasons. Electricians came to isolate the light so arch could be removed as a emergency action. It has been discovered that the fuse carrier within the post is smashed and also the fuse has been arcing within the carrier. The whole LP is now not operationable and all other church lighting supplied by un-metered connection from this post is isolated leaving the church yard and public footpath totally unlit until this post is repaired.

Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. Because based upon where you have placed the pin in the report, we cannot find a unit 7. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

John just left a message on you mobile. The arch light and those in the churchyard don't appear on our database so not ours. We have some lights down the path outside the side of the churchwall though to the Leys but not on the route through the church grounds. If it appears to be an unmetered supply (in a pillar near the arch? (thats not clear from your info) then i suggest you contact SSEN emergency services and get them to attend/repair /make safe.
