Multiple potholes and deterioration of road surface

Reported in the Potholes category anonymously at 10:13, Wed 22 January 2020

Sent to Hampshire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1954116.

Multiple potholes and deterioration of the road surface between Preston Candover and the top of Farleigh Hill. These have been in existence for at least 2 months and are worsening with the cold weather. At the junction of the Dummer road at Axford there is an area approximately 2 to 3 metres where the road some work has previously taken place. I have recently had a front spring replaced on my car which the poor road surface has probably contributed to. In the dark and very wet night the road is dangerous if one is unable to see and avoid of the deeper potholes.

Updates

  • A few of the larger potholes have had some tarmac placed in them which has helped but others remain and some of the areas where there was deterioration of the surface have now developed holes. Overall the problem has not been fixed.
