Cars often parked blocking gated alleyway. New markings/deterrent needed
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 23:54, Tue 21 January 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1953689.
Cars are quite often parked blocking the gated alleyway entrances at both ends on the top half of Colston road. Could we have zigzag or double lines painted to try and stop this from happening?
There are double yellows close to the top entrance by the cycle path but they stop just over a car's length before the gates - people then park right against the gates, avoiding the lines.
The bottom entrance on King St is usually closely flanked by cars or vans. Often it's too close to actually make the turn as the street is so narrow with cars on both sides. A few times recently, including tonight, someone has parked completely across the gated entrance.
Myself and others use our garages as workshops and not being unable to access them with a vehicle can be very frustrating.
