Overgrown bushes reduce visibility

Reported via Android in the Other (non-highways) category anonymously at 22:46, Tue 21 January 2020

Sent to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Hampshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1953474.

Overgrown bushes, about 2m wide, most likely a"fence" growing on the green fence reduce visibility to the main road causing a safety risk, especially for children crossing this street to access local schools. Many cars exceed the 30MPH speed limit in this area which combined with an apex just before the pedestrian crossing is a high risk for pedestrians as in order to see the road we must stand on the road. There is clearly a green belt which once trimmed down will allow pedestrians to see oncoming traffic much better.
