The full length of public footpath stretching from Glebe Way HP6 5ND along entire length of North Road HP6 5NA to junction with Amersham Rd, Chesham Bois needs urgently re-surfacing in crushed tarmac (road planings) as all ages 2 yrs - 98 yrs+ pedestrians feel dangerously vulnerable with such slippery muddy unstable conditions underfoot as original footpath surface has long since turned into very sticky mud. This is the only pedestrian footway, and is so slippery that even having to walk along the road is not much safer with speeding 2 way traffic and buses using the route. Poor lighting outside short daylight hours increase the difficulty & St. Leonard’s Parish Centre is increasingly hard to get to in these conditions. Traffic was re-directed along Glebe Way, instead of Bois Lane, last week due to treework which only excerbated the problems for us all here.
