"AA" signs obscuring traffic signal and in danger of falling on pedestrians

Reported in the Road traffic signs category by Trevor Parsons at 01:40, Monday 20 January 2020

Sent to Hackney Borough Council 5 minutes later

On the southern footway of Cremer Street about 10 metres east of its junction with Kingsland Road, the 20mph (both sides) signpost has two yellow signs attached underneath the official sign -- one is supposedly an AA sign and is advertising "The Project @ Hoxton Student Accommodation", while the other is advertising "Anthology Hoxton Press" and has no other attribution or apparent authority.

Both of these signs are located at such a height as to obscure the junction's east-facing primary signal from the point of view of road users approaching the junction over a significant area of the carriageway of Cremer Street.

Furthermore, the supposed AA sign is only attached by a single fastening at the top, which looks as if it could be in danger of detaching and falling in high winds.

Please remove these signs, which are basically thoughtlessly and hazardously erected advertisements.
