Reported in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 11:45, Sat 18 January 2020
Sent to Oxford City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1946466.
Vehcile has still not moved at all in 6 months - its MOT expired in July 2019 since when it has been parked at the junction of North Way and Burchester, gradually rusting away.

This vehicle is taxed, but has no current MOT, It is not Council policy to issue notices against Taxed vehicles without current MOT’s, as this is a complex area, and although an offence under section 47 of The Road Traffic Act 1988, to have or use a vehicle on the highway without a current MOT, the Police only to enforce this if the vehicle is caught being used, therefore our policy is to wait until both the Tax and MOT have expired, (Tuesday 2nd June 2020), as this is the recommended criteria for classifying a vehicle as ‘Abandoned ‘ as such it is in my diary to re-check, and if still there, I will issue a notice of removal.

Good to know what the regulation is and that the van will be removed finally in June 2020. I had thought it could not be on the road without an MOT but now realise my error.
