Blocked drains

Reported in the Flooding or standing water on road category by Cllr Damon Brown at 19:46, Fri 17 January 2020

Sent to Warwickshire County Council 5 minutes later

Blocked drains on section of New Road between Exton Close and Care Home on opposite side of the road. The blocked drains cause the road to flood in this area. The footpath has also been eroded due to the repeated flooding and needs replacing as it forms part of the Safer Routes to School

Updates

  • The hedges have overgrown on the path, making it difficult to walk without stepping onto the road.

The path is unsafe for pushchairs and children. As this is directly opposite a Care Home, this also poses as a risk for the elderly. As as result of this, people have to walk in the road on a dangerous bend.

The height and width of the hedge opposite the prologis park pedestrian entrance (on New Road) also means it is impossible to see oncoming traffic in either direction, making it unsafe and dangerous for adults and children to cross.
