50Mph sign on a single lane ?

This lane in most parts is a single car width but carries a 50mph signs all the way to Hunningham village. It is a country lane with a lot of horse riders and dog walkers. It is very dangerous. I think this speed signage should be reduced to 30mph or at least some caution signs were it narrows where HS2 first started.
