Burning rubber smell

Early on Sat 2nd July am I walked on Par Beach approx 07.00am, there was an incredible smell of Burning something nasty on the way there. I met several people whom had driven throu Par area and smelt it Driving to the beach to walk. It seemed to be something industrial Par/ Eastcliff road area , Its not the first time this has been noticed on a Saturday early. It was NOT the Imeris works it was back towards Par / Tywradreath. Is there anything being burnt in this area? It certainly didnt smell right !
