WIndblown trees protruding into road

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 10:29, Saturday 4 January 2020

Sent to Kent County Council less than a minute later

Various wIndblown trees have been left protruding into road now for months. Again it appears the council and highways authorities don't care about the area or the safety of the ever increasing people, yet love a tax rise. What are you spending it on? Potholes nope, street lights nope, litter clearing and education nope, policing nope! Wasting water and electricity for a temporary ice rink.. yes!

  • Useless direct response from KCC denying any cause of concern, the only reason the specific tree in this location isn't 'a hazard to the road' now is because someone must have driven past and hit the crown end and knocked it back just enough. The rest of the A2 as a whole has been completely neglected for years and there are countless windblowns left protruding into the road space or cut and left piled on the verges, then all the litter, crash debris and abandoned roadwork signs/cones/a-frames or the decrepit/dead street lights, blocked or inadequate drainage AND POTHOLES.
