Markings to give way

Dear Highways, I'd like to report a near miss incident. I was driving my partners uncle home from atherstone to baddesley. I turned right off coleshill road onto twenty one oaks. At the end of the road, at the crossroad with the b4116 (Baxterley common), I went straight over the crossroads mistaking the giveways lines. I'm new to the area and unfamiliar with the roads, it was night time. I went back to look at the sign posts which clearly state giveway however the road markings are badly worn. You might look at the job in the daylight and I think I was driving badly however I'm professinal driver (Driver CPC) and I have never made an error like this before and it was very scary. If the exsisting road markings could be remarked or some better road safety features be made at this location that would be great. Thank you Oliver.
