Parking of caravan or trucks by gypsies living in Tucker's road flats

Reported anonymously at 15:49, Mon 23 December 2019

Sent to Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1903455.

The caravan or trucks are always parked near to the bus stop on the same side as the flats or opposite the bus stop across the road making it difficult for cars to pass and residents living opposite have to park their cars half on the pavement. On Friday 19th December the Winson bus was unable to get through and all the passengers, mainly pensioners including a man in a wheelchair, had to get off and walk in the pouring rain down the rest of the road to get home. There is adequate parking for residents of the flats in two areas next to the flats but off Tucker's road.

  • Each type of truck seems to be parked for a week at a time without being moved and then replaced by a different one for another week and so on. For example tree surgery, scrap metal, car recovery or enterprise hie truck.
