Significant Ponding

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Jonathon Staples at 15:54, Mon 20 June 2011

Sent to Cardiff Council 1 minute later

There is significant "ponding" on both sides of the pedestrian crossing at the very bottom/southern end of Caerphilly Road. On the southbound carriageway water builds up exactly alongside the red tiles of the crossing, while on the northbound carriageway water collects next to the traffic light. Could drainage please be improved or the ruts dealt with as pedestrians consistently get soaked by passing vehicles.

  • The council have said this stretch of road will be "fully reinstated" within 60 days. I will post another update once remedial works have been carried out.
