  • This is a very bad example of inadequate compaction prior to reinstatement which has created a depression in places over 100mm deep across half the carriageway (Area 4m x 4m) This inadequate and defective reinstatement work should not have happened if NRSWA guidelines were properly enforced by WCC. This inadequate reinstatement work has remained uncorrected for more than 12 months even though the Highways Authority has a duty under the New Roads and Street Works Act to ensure that contractors correct these shoddy reinstatement works ASAP.
