Deep flooding of the lane entrance. Drains need clearing

Reported in the Other (non-highways) category anonymously at 14:20, Fri 20 December 2019

Sent to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Hampshire County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1898802.

The lane has been flooding continuously for the last 2 months whenever we have heavy rain. It is now very deep and difficult to pass through unless you have a 4 wheel drive. Access is difficult for all residents. We also have elderly people living in the lane who may not be able to get in and out over the Christmas period. The drains the pass under the B3400 urgently need clearing out.

  • Apparently some men from Hampshire Highways came last week. They did nothing effective and one of the drain remains completely blocked with mud. This is still causing flooding with the least amount of rain.
