Narrow footpath and flooding
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 16:55, Thu 19 December 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1897094.
The footpath on the north side of Wantage Road, between the hospital and CO-OP is far too narrow for the footfall and always floods when it rains due to the drop in the verge from the roadside.
There is plenty of literature relating to road infrastructure following the further development of Great Western Park but nothing relating to pedestrian infrastructure. Two people cannot pass on this stretch of footway without one moving onto the generally muddy grass verge and this multiplies when push chairs are involved or the schools are starting/finishing!
Please provide future plans for pedestrian infrastructure in the area to address the increase of non vehicular traffic and specifically the stretch of footway highlighted.
