The Exit slip road up to Handy Cross Roundabout

The traffic is split into two, left two lanes go to industrial area and town centre and the three/four lanes for traffic wishing to turn right. This is controlled by two sets of traffic lights. The lights for traffic turning right activate 3/5 seconds before the lights for the traffic turning left and in to town. These can go green at the same time. Also the time from the induction loops appears not to be working.

  • Traffic exiting the M40 North bound at J4, is split into two, traffic turning left and High Wycombe and traffic turning right. The light for traffic turning right go Green, 5 sec before the light for the traffic turning left. No reason for this, and the timing induction coils do not give increased time for the longer queues.
