Road Floods
Reported anonymously at 16:45, Sun 23 March 2008
Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 18914.
The road floods in the area of the “pin” whenever there is more than light rain.
There is often so much water that only a few feet of carriageway is visible in the centre of the road.

I have been away from Ware for a fortnight so don't know if issue has been resolved

We have had a lot of rain during the last few day.
The road still floods.
The highways authority obviously KNOWS about the problem as a little “Flood†warning sign was erected before one hits the water!
But everybody would prefer that it was fixed!

It hadn't been fixed the last time the road flooded.
In my view, this is a major safety issue.

Deep flooding the last time it rained heavily.
I can't understand why this hasn't been resolved yet.
It only needs a drain running a few metres into the New River

Still huge puddles when I drove along that road recently.
There seems little point in you asking me to check in a month's time.
